BLUE TEAMS

Penn FC BLUE Teams are considered our second teams and respresents the next tier in our club's esteemed lineup, offering year-round opportunites for players to advance thier skills within a higher level of competitive travel soccer.  These teams are designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for players to develop their soccer skills, while allowing flexibility for players to participate in multiple sports.

Purpose: The Penn FC BLUE Teams represent the next tier in the club's competitive travel soccer program. These teams are designed to provide a more advanced and competitive level of play, while allowing some flexibility for players to engage in multiple sports while concurrently advancing their soccer abilities.

Formation: BLUE Teams are formed for all birth years, established based on high demand and significant talent within a particular age groups.

Training: Players on BLUE Teams participate in two practice sessions per week during Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.  Training sessions are at a higher level and intensity compared to the WHITE Teams. The focus remains on skill development, tactical understanding, and physical conditioning.

Competition: BLUE Teams will participate in the highest level of competition suitable for each team.  This could involve more travel to face stronger opponents, providing players with increased challenges.  Leagues played by BLUE Teams in years pass are; CPYSL, APL and EDP.

Tournaments: In addition to league play, the BLUE Teams will have the opportunity to compete in several local and regional tournaments, showcasing their abilities on a broader stage.  Older teams will enter events with the opportunity to be scouted by college coaches.

Player Development: The BLUE Teams play a crucial role in the overall player development pathway within the club. Coaches may emphasize advanced tactics, positional play, and a higher level of competition to prepare players for further progression within the soccer program.

Pathway to Higher Levels: Players on the BLUE Teams may see this level as a stepping stone towards higher levels of competition within the club or even external opportunities, such as college or professional soccer.

Overall, the Penn FC BLUE Teams represent a more advanced stage in the club's player development pathway, offering a challenging and competitive environment for players who have demonstrated a higher level of skill and commitment.
